Mohamed Ibrahim: Pioneering Seamless Government Services

Technology is often hailed as an enabler and facilitator that has the power to change and enhance the way people live and work. When used in a correct way it may uplift the way services are provided and the way people utilize those services.

However, more often than not, there’s a gap between technology and end-user. Technology needs to be modified and reshaped for people to be useful. It must reach people in a readily consumable form. For instance, the Segway. Despite its innovative design and the hype surrounding its launch, the Segway did not revolutionize personal transportation as anticipated. It was expected to be as impactful as the car or the internet, but it ended up being used mainly in niche markets like tourism and law enforcement. The reasons for its failure are multifaceted, including its high cost, regulations that limited its use in pedestrian areas, and the fact that it didn’t address a widespread need in daily transportation.

As a visionary entrepreneur and tech enthusiast, Mohamed Ibrahim has been instrumental in transforming the interface between technology and government services. As the Founder and CEO of Lahint Business Services Co., he has been focusing on simplifying government services using advanced technologies like AI, Voice Conferencing, and Screen Sharing, along with enabling services through apps like WhatsApp. With a keen eye for simplification and automation, Mohamed has led Lahint to the forefront of the industry since its inception in October 2023.
The Inception

An innovative professional with 10 years of public and governmental service experience, Mohamed Ibrahim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA and is dedicated to transforming the industry through technology. A well-rounded financial manager with expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and corporate finance, Ibrahim is focused on user experience and market needs, and ready to make a positive impact.
Ibrahim began his professional journey as an accountant in 2013. He then moved on to the role of finance manager in 2021. He graduated from the Misk Launchpad program in the fourth quarter of 2023 and received a Saudi entrepreneur license.

While pursuing his MBA, Ibrahim saw the opportunity to use financial expertise to streamline government services with technology. This served as the inception point for his company, Lahint. In the first quarter of 2024, he secured funding for his startup. By the second quarter, Ibrahim was nominated for the Fortuna Global Excellence Award and recognized by Entrepreneur Gulf as the most dynamic entrepreneur diversifying the Saudi economy in 2024.

At Lahint, Ibrahim initially aimed at improving public service interactions. With the advent of new technology, the company made sure to utilize it to open new horizons in facilitating and accelerating access to government and public services. This advancement represents a sophisticated alternative to traditional methods, which usually require travel and hours of waiting for a single service. Lahint is now releasing one fully automated service in June 2024 and aiming to automate 50 government services by 2027 to enhance efficiency and transparency in the financial sector.
Mohamed’s journey is one of relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation. His strategic vision for Lahint is not only to enhance operational efficiencies but also to foster a culture of digital empowerment. By doing so, he is not just shaping his company but also contributing significantly to the digital transformation of public services.

An Emerging Powerhouse in Technology and Digital Services

Lahint Business Services Co. streamlines interactions with government services using modern technology. It provides real-time, efficient solutions to eliminate bureaucratic hurdles, offering immediate eligibility feedback through a meticulous data processing system. Its services include a user-friendly online platform, a sophisticated chatbot, and mobile applications, all designed to simplify and automate public service processes. By June 2024, the company will launch its first fully automated service, with a goal to automate 50 government services by 2027, enhancing operational efficiency and user satisfaction.

The firm has just declared its evolution into a joint-stock entity, signifying a pivotal point in its quest to broaden its operational scope and reinforce its stance in the market. Lahint operates in conjunction with government platforms, aiming to streamline service procedures for users instead of vying with these platforms. Its forthcoming platform is designed to be inclusive, catering particularly to individuals who are not tech-savvy. A simple exchange with the company through WhatsApp will trigger a chatbot conversation, making the entire process up to the full delivery of the service effortless.

Lahint is committed to a user-first approach for efficient progression from service request to fulfillment. The company sets itself apart by enhancing customer engagement through its accessible service platforms, enabling the arrangement of services executed with cutting-edge screen sharing and voice conferencing tools. This forward-thinking strategy facilitates instantaneous, interactive service experiences, placing Lahint at the forefront of the digital transformation.

Accessibility Through Popular Apps: Understanding the need for convenience, Lahint has enabled its services through popular applications like WhatsApp, allowing users to connect with service providers directly from their smartphones. This approach demystifies the process of obtaining government services and brings them into the digital age.
Future-Forward Vision: With a beta version launched in April 2024, Lahint is on a trajectory to fully automate all government and public services by 2027. Their goal is to make these services more convenient and efficient, thereby improving the overall experience for citizens and businesses alike.

Lahint’s commitment to innovation and customer service excellence positions them as a leader in the GovTech space, reshaping how government services are delivered and experienced in Saudi Arabia.
A Work Culture that Supports Innovation

Ibrahim and his team maintain their focus on innovation by encouraging team brainstorming sessions and out-of-the-box thinking. They rigorously test their solutions based on detailed data collection and user feedback. Transparency and efficiency are key to LAHINT ’s operations, ensuring its services are reliable and user-friendly. They also use specific metrics and milestones to measure progress and consistently deliver cutting-edge solutions.

In a tech-driven environment, Ibrahim fosters innovation by encouraging creative thinking and experimentation, providing opportunities for professional development, and maintaining an open-door policy for new ideas. He supports a collaborative atmosphere where employees feel empowered to take risks and learn from failures. By investing in the latest technology and tools, he ensures his team has the resources they need to innovate and excel.

“The corporate culture at Lahint is innovative, collaborative, and transparent. We cultivate leadership by encouraging team members to take initiative, participate in decision-making, and continuously develop their skills. Regular brainstorming sessions, open communication, and recognition of individual contributions help foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment,” says Ibrahim.

Managing Professional and Personal Challenges

Some of the most challenging projects for Ibrahim involved developing Lahint’s initial eligibility determination system and launching fully automated services. They faced significant hurdles in meticulous data collection and ensuring accuracy across various scenarios. From these experiences, his team learned the importance of rigorous testing, user feedback, and adaptability. In response, they adapted their business model to prioritize continuous innovation, transparent communication, and efficiency, allowing them to refine their services and better meet user needs.
A busy entrepreneur that he is, Ibrahim balances the demands of his rigorous professional life with his personal life by setting clear boundaries between work and personal time, effectively delegating tasks to his trusted team, and prioritizing time management. “I ensure to schedule regular breaks, spend quality time with family, and pursue hobbies to recharge. This balance helps maintain long-term productivity and creativity,” he shares.

Future Outlook

Emerging trends in the industry include the increasing use of artificial intelligence and machine learning, the rise of fully automated public services, and a greater emphasis on data security and privacy. To prepare, Lahint plans to invest in advanced AI technologies, continuously enhance its automation capabilities, and implement robust data protection measures. Additionally, Ibrahim plans to stay agile and responsive to market changes, ensuring Lahint’s services remain innovative and user-centric.

Under Ibrahim’s leadership, Lahint has carved a niche in the market by developing cutting-edge solutions that streamline complex processes, making government services more accessible to the public. His approach combines a deep understanding of bureaucratic intricacies with user-centric design philosophy, ensuring that Lahint ’s offerings are not just technologically advanced but also intuitive and user-friendly.

Ibrahim’s long-term goals for Lahint include automating 50 government services by 2027 and becoming a leader in the GovTech sector. “To achieve this, we will continue investing in cutting-edge technology, focusing on user-centric design, and fostering a culture of innovation within our team. By maintaining strong partnerships and continuously improving our services based on user feedback, we aim to enhance efficiency and satisfaction in public service delivery,” he concludes.
