Ibrahim Mohammad Aladdin : belief became the cornerstone of design philosophy.

Teaching is considered one of the noblest professions in the world. Rightly so, because it is not just about completing the given syllabus but about ensuring that human values and righteous thoughts are passed on from generation to generation.

From a young age, I am fascinated by how spaces could evoke emotions and create atmospheres. Whether it was rearranging the furniture in my childhood bedroom or helping friends transform their living rooms, i had a natural talent for seeing the potential in every space. This passion led me to pursue a formal education in interior design, where your creativity blossomed.

The Early Spark

During my studies, I was captivated by how design could influence not just the aesthetics of a space but also the well-being of the people who lived in it. I was inspired by the idea that interior design wasn’t just about making things look beautiful—it was about creating environments that could improve lives. This belief became the cornerstone of my design philosophy.

Gaining Experience

After graduating from Staffordshire university , i worked with a prominent design firm, where I honed my skills and gained valuable experience. I worked on a variety of projects, from cozy residential spaces to upscale commercial environments. But as much as i enjoyed the work, there was always a part of me that wanted more creative freedom. i had a unique vision, and you knew the only way to fully express it was to start my own studio.

Taking the Leap

Starting my own business was a bold move, but I was ready for the challenge. I spent countless hours developing a business plan, identifying my target market, and defining the unique services my studio would offer. I envisioned a space where design wasn’t just about aesthetics but also about functionality, sustainability, and creating environments that truly resonated with the people who used them.

With a clear vision, I launched my studio, LUXURIOUS STUDIO, The early days were challenging. I rented a small office space that reflected my style—luxury contemporary, and inviting. I used My savings to get things started, pouring  my heart into every detail, from the logo design to the layout of my portfolio.

Building My Brand

My first few projects came from word of mouth—friends, family, and former clients who knew My work and believed in my vision. Each project was an opportunity to showcase my unique approach to design, blending creativity with practicality. I was determined to exceed My clients’ expectations, and my dedication paid off. With each completed project, my reputation grew, and so did my client base.

I invested time in building my brand, launching a website and using social media to share my projects and design insights. I attended industry events, networked with other professionals, and collaborated with like-minded creatives. MY studio became known for its thoughtful,

personalized approach to design, attracting clients who valued quality, attention to detail, and a deep connection to their spaces.

Overcoming Challenges

Running my own studio came with its own set of challenges. I had to balance the creative aspects of my work with the practicalities of running a business. There were late nights, tight budgets, and difficult decisions, but my passion for design and my determination to succeed kept me going. Each challenge was a learning experience, and with each one, I grew stronger and more confident in my abilities.

A Thriving Studio

Today, LUXURIOUS STUDIO is a thriving interior design studio with a portfolio that reflects MY unique style and philosophy. I’ve built a team that shares my passion for creating spaces that are not just beautiful but also meaningful. My clients trust me to bring their visions to life, knowing that I’ll deliver designs that are as functional as they are stunning.

Looking back on my journey, I can see how every step—every challenge, every risk, every late-night brainstorming session—led me to where you are now. I’ve turned my passion into a successful business, and in doing so,I’ve created a legacy that will continue to inspire others.

Our designs focus on both aesthetics and function, ensuring that every space is comfortable, practical, and efficient without compromising on style.
  3. Innovative Use of Technology: We are one of the first firms in the market to fully integrate advanced design technologies, including 3D modeling, virtual reality walkthroughs, and AR tools. This allows our clients to experience their spaces before committing to designs, ensuring that the final result aligns perfectly with their expectations.
  4. Sustainability and Wellness at the Core: We are dedicated to not just creating beautiful spaces but also designing environments that are kind to the planet and promote well-being. Our use of sustainable materials, energy-efficient systems, and wellness-oriented designs resonates with the growing demand for responsible, eco-conscious interiors.
  5. Collaborative Approach: We see our clients as partners in the design process. Rather than dictating design choices, we involve our clients at every step, ensuring that their preferences and feedback shape the final outcome. This transparency and partnership foster strong relationships and result in designs that truly resonate with our clients.
  6. Cross-Disciplinary Expertise: Our team is composed of professionals with diverse backgrounds, including interior designers, architects, graphic designers, and even behavioral scientists. This multidisciplinary approach enables us to create not just visually stunning spaces, but ones that also support the human experience—whether it’s for comfort, productivity, or enjoyment.

By combining innovation, sustainability, and a deep commitment to personalized service, we continue to distinguish ourselves in the competitive interior design market.

  • What is your design philosophy, and how do you incorporate it into your projects?

our design philosophy is simple: interiors matter. they matter because they influence how we feel, how we act and how we live, often without us realising it.

Some people think luxury is the opposite of poverty. It is not. It is the opposite of vulgarity

— COCO CHANEL

WE TRANSFORM THE ORDINARY INTO LUXURY

We understand two things very well. We understand interiors and we understand luxury. Interiors because our training and experience have taught us what it take to create a successful one; and luxury because it’s the very DNA of our brand.

By combining the two, we fulfil our ultimate commitment to our clients: to transform the ordinary into luxury. Whether that’s faultless finishes and exquisite exotic materials or the absence of excess and a focus on raw craftsmanship, capturing the luxury for our clients is what drives us.

DESIGNING WITH CARE

We believe the best designers are those who design with empathy; the ones who work hard to understand their client and the project. Designing with empathy requires a careful understanding of each of our clients’ personalities and their needs and wishes for their project.

These requirements change from person to person, project to project and country to country—no one size fits all. That’s why we’re proud that our design philosophy embraces a personalised approach; creating interiors that each of our clients can recognise as uniquely theirs.

We regularly use digital technology to work with our clients, near and far, which is why we continually invest in our technology platforms, tools and infrastructure. These tools allow us to work on remote and international projects as naturally as we would local projects, ensuring that we can design your home without you ever having to leave.

  • Can you highlight a recent project that you found particularly innovative or challenging?

One of the most innovative and challenging villa interior design projects we recently completed in Riyadh was for a luxury private residence located in one of the city’s upscale neighborhoods. The client, a prominent business executive and his family, sought a home that would combine the grandeur of classic Middle Eastern design with contemporary, global influences. The villa needed to reflect their sophisticated lifestyle while providing spaces for both entertainment and privacy, with a strong emphasis on comfort, luxury, and modern technology.

Project Overview:

This villa was a sprawling 5,000 square meter property with multiple living zones: grand reception areas, private family spaces, entertainment rooms, multiple master suites, a gym, a spa, and a stunning outdoor pool area. The architecture of the villa was already quite grandiose, with high ceilings, large arches, and intricate stone detailing. However, the interior was fairly traditional, and the challenge was to bring the space into the 21st century while maintaining a connection to traditional Arabic design and cultural values.

Innovations & Challenges:

  1. Balancing Traditional Elegance with Modern Luxury: The villa’s exterior and architectural style were rooted in classical Middle Eastern grandeur, with large ornamental arches, domes, and intricate stucco details. However, the client wanted an interior that felt more contemporary, streamlined, and suited to their modern lifestyle—without losing the richness of the cultural elements.
  1. Innovative Solution: To blend these two elements, we used a modern interpretation of traditional motifs. For example, geometric patterns inspired by Islamic art were incorporated into floor tiles, wall paneling, and custom furniture, but we simplified the design to be more minimalist and contemporary. For instance, mashrabiya-inspired screens were made with a modern twist, using metal or glass instead of the traditional wood, making them lighter, airier, and more open to light.
  2. Luxurious materials such as polished marble, high-gloss lacquers, and natural stones were introduced in the main living areas to evoke a sense of high-end luxury. We also included handcrafted details like bespoke lighting fixtures and custom-designed furniture, bringing a touch of traditional craftsmanship into the modern design.
  3. Designing for Large Family and Entertainment Spaces: The family entertained frequently, hosting large gatherings and events. The challenge was creating flexible spaces that could serve both intimate family time and large, lavish parties.
  1. Innovative Solution: The living room and dining areas were designed with modular furniture that could easily be rearranged for different types of events. We introduced large, movable partitions between rooms to allow for an open-plan layout during family gatherings, while also enabling the rooms to be closed off for more private moments or smaller events.
  2. A highlight of this was the formal dining room, which was designed to be an elegant, traditional space with a twist. The dining table was designed as an extendable piece, able to accommodate anywhere from six to twenty guests, making it perfect for both intimate meals and large dinner parties.
  3. The family room incorporated comfortable, casual seating, with the flexibility to transform the space into an entertainment zone for movie nights or events by adding smart projector screens and surround sound systems.
  4. Integrating Cutting-Edge Smart Home Technology: The client’s desire for modern luxury extended to the integration of state-of-the-art home automation and smart technologies. However, the challenge was embedding these systems in a way that didn’t disrupt the aesthetic appeal of the home or clutter its luxurious feel.
  1. Innovative Solution: We worked with leading tech consultants to design a fully integrated smart home system, allowing the client to control lighting, temperature, entertainment systems, and even security features with a touch of a button. The challenge was hiding these systems in plain sight while making sure the villa retained its opulence.
  2. For instance, hidden speakers, concealed LED lighting strips, and invisible air conditioning vents were incorporated seamlessly into the architecture. Smart home panels were designed as sleek, flush-mounted screens within the walls, ensuring that they were functional but never intrusive.
  3. Additionally, the villa’s automated curtain system could be controlled remotely to provide privacy and light control, while the security system integrated discreetly with the design, including hidden cameras and motion sensors built into furniture or structural elements like columns.
  4. Creating Distinct, Private Zones for the Family: The client had multiple generations living in the villa, so it was crucial to design private, personal spaces within the home, such as the master suite, children’s rooms, and family lounge areas, without sacrificing luxury.
  1. Innovative Solution: We carefully planned zoning within the villa to give each family member their own private space while maintaining the overall cohesive aesthetic. The master suite was designed as a serene, retreat-like space, with a private spa, walk-in closets, and a private study area. For the children’s rooms, we created personalized spaces that were elegant yet playful, incorporating interactive tech features, such as digital wall murals and hidden storage, to make the rooms both fun and functional.
  2. We also designed a family lounge area with a balance of comfort and elegance, featuring large, plush sofas and custom cabinetry for both entertainment and storage. These areas were designed to offer maximum comfort, making them ideal for unwinding after a busy day or enjoying quiet moments.
  3. Maximizing Outdoor and Indoor Flow: Riyadh’s hot desert climate can make outdoor spaces difficult to enjoy, but the client wanted a seamless connection between the interior of the villa and the outdoor pool and garden area.
  1. Innovative Solution: We created an open-plan layout with large floor-to-ceiling glass doors that opened up to the outdoor area, creating a seamless transition between the two. The pool area was designed as an extension of the living room, with a luxurious outdoor lounge, fireplace, and even a shaded dining area.
  2. The outdoor design also included luxury landscaping, featuring indigenous plants, water features, and custom-built seating, offering a relaxing, resort-like atmosphere. At night, the space transformed with ambient lighting, which we integrated into the landscape and architectural elements, enhancing the villa’s beauty in the evenings.

Outcome:

The project was a resounding success. The villa’s interior successfully merged traditional Saudi design elements with modern sophistication, creating an environment that felt both grand and intimate. The integration of smart technology added a layer of convenience and luxury without compromising the aesthetics, and the space’s layout catered perfectly to the client’s entertaining needs, while still providing the privacy and comfort for family life.

What made this project particularly innovative was how we modernized traditional Arabic design while still respecting the local culture. We integrated cutting-edge technology in ways that were both discreet and intuitive, ensuring that the villa felt like a luxurious retreat, perfectly suited to the client’s lifestyle. The balance between cultural richness and global modernity created a space that was not only functional but also a stunning work of design.

One quote that I absolutely live by and find incredibly helpful in both my personal and professional life is:
