Abdulaziz’s love with architecture began with his journey to Italy during a training program with Schiattarella Associati, where he experienced a fresh perspective on architectural studios and how things operate in the Italian way. This exposure to a new approach profoundly shaped his thinking and practice in architecture.

After gaining valuable insights from his Italian training program, Abdulaziz made the decision to establish his own brand. He created a company specialized in training architecture students at the graduation level, which led to the founding of Edinburgh Commerce Training. They quickly built strong relationships, collaborating with three major companies in Scotland: ADP, Thomas & Adamson, and Kettle Collectives. Abdulaziz took over the leadership of the program just two years after its establishment, and it has continued to grow ever since.
In addition to his interest in the academic sector, Abdulaziz joined the UIA and became a board member of the Umran Society in the Riyadh region. Over the years, he has also participated in several architectural competitions and was honored to win first place for his graduation project at Saudi universities in 2018, 2019, and 2020. These achievements led him to work with real estate companies, where he contributed to the development of more than 130 residential and commercial projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“My goal was always to expand my experience in the Saudi market, all while maintaining a focus on the quality of architectural private designs, such as private mansions and VIP resorts,” he says.
As a design manager, Abdulaziz also developed five towers in Riyadh, located in Olaya and along King Fahad Road. After that, he decided to delve deeper into design, specifically focusing on interior design and supervision. This allowed him to create unique spaces and develop distinctive designs.

However, this wasn’t a typical one-month honeymoon; it was six months long. Another particularly challenging project was linked to the annual Eid holiday. The project was for a well-known company’s headquarters located in King Fahad Tower, which had to be designed, furnished, and ready for use within an extremely tight deadline. The client approached A1Architects with the task of delivering the entire project in just two weeks. Not only did the building’s interior need to be designed from scratch, but they also had to furnish it completely.
The challenge was further complicated by the fact that the furniture had to be sourced and shipped from various locations around the world. The pressure was immense, as Eid is a major holiday, and the company had set a firm deadline for starting operations in their new headquarters. However, Abdulaziz and his team managed to pull it off. Within 10 days, they had finalized the design, arranged for the global shipping of all furniture, and completed the installation. The client was able to start working in their newly furnished office just after Eid holiday, demonstrating A1Architects’ ability to manage risks and deliver under pressure.
