Dubai has announced the launch of the Create AI Agents Championship, a global competition inviting innovators to develop practical artificial intelligence (AI) agents that address real-world challenges. The championship offers a total prize pool exceeding AED 2.5 million and aims to encourage the development of scalable AI solutions with commercial potential.
The initiative was announced by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. He encouraged innovators worldwide to participate in the competition.
Driving Innovation in Agentic AI
Led by Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, the championship aims to accelerate the adoption of Agentic AI and support the creation of AI Agents Championship capable of delivering practical value. The initiative focuses on solutions that can be scaled, commercially developed, and used to benefit individuals, businesses, and society.
Participants are encouraged to identify pressing challenges, develop AI agents to address them, and test their effectiveness. The competition also aims to help promising ideas evolve into viable products, services, and business ventures.
Four Categories and Major Cash Prizes
The championship will feature four categories: Best Societal AI Agent, Best Personal AI Agents Championship Best Business AI Agent, and Best Youth AI Agent.
Each category winner will receive AED 550,000. In addition, one of the four winners will be awarded the AI Agent of the Year title and a prize of AED 1 million, bringing the total prize pool to more than AED 2.5 million.
Open to Innovators Worldwide
The competition welcomes participants from technical and non-technical backgrounds, with no minimum age requirement. Individuals and teams can enter with an innovative concept, prototype, or early-stage minimum viable product. Existing businesses can also participate by submitting a new AI-agent solution or capability.
This broad eligibility is intended to encourage participation from a diverse range of innovators and support ideas at different stages of development.
Training and Mentorship for Participants
Beyond financial rewards, the championship will provide participants with resources to strengthen their solutions. These include advanced training, practical workshops, self-paced learning materials, specialised sessions, and mentorship.
Through these opportunities, Dubai aims to support the development of AI Agents Championship technologies that can move beyond experimentation and deliver measurable results. The championship also reflects the emirate’s focus on expanding its digital economy and encouraging innovation through practical applications of artificial intelligence.
