Waleed Mohamed Ali : enjoyment I get from sharing knowledge

Teaching is considered one of the noblest professions in the world. Rightly so, because it is not just about completing the given syllabus but about ensuring that human values and righteous thoughts are passed on from generation to generation.

My professional journey has been focused on the field of training and developing individuals. What drew me to this industry is the deep sense of enjoyment I get from sharing knowledge, training people, and contributing to the improvement and development of human resources. Seeing the tangible results in enhanced performance and personal growth is what motivates me every day.

4. How can Kuwait enhance its education system to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among students?

Integrating entrepreneurship programs into the curriculum is essential, as many graduates in Kuwait go on to start their own businesses. Additionally, supporting student projects by providing financial backing for those developing entrepreneurial ventures is crucial. Encouraging initiatives that promote entrepreneurship and the development of business leaders is also important.

5. What role can business development and risk-taking play in the curriculum to promote innovation?

Introducing topics related to business development, such as growth strategies, project management, and opportunity assessment, helps students understand how to build and expand businesses. Additionally, teaching students how to think entrepreneurially and involving them in real projects and simulated work environments fosters practical experience and innovation.

6. What is the biggest challenge you have faced in your career? How did you overcome it and what did you learn from it?

The biggest challenge I faced in my career was directing and implementing training programs in a multicultural environment like Kuwait. Initially, it was difficult to understand the needs and expectations of participants from diverse backgrounds.

I overcame this challenge by gaining a deeper understanding of the training needs. I also conducted surveys and assessments before starting the programs to gain accurate insights into what participants expected from the training. I tailored the training content to suit different cultures and ensured that realistic examples relevant to the community were provided.

From this experience, I learned the importance of adaptability and flexibility in design and execution, as well as the necessity of building strong relationships with clients to better understand their needs.

Additionally, the country aims to guarantee equal opportunities for both women and men to access affordable and high-quality vocational and higher education, including university education, to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

10. How do you keep abreast with the changes in your industry and prepare yourself for continuous growth?
